The last two days here in Raleigh, NC you would think we lived in an area of monsoons. I mean when was the last time you heard of school being canceled because of heavy rain and flooding? I don’t ever remember that occurring! But it has been pouring rain over the last 2 days. I dropped a son’s car off to be serviced today and there was a small “creek” (not a real one) in the parking lot that I had to wade through to get into the building. Thank the Lord I put on my pair of cowboy boats today because the water came up 6 inches on my jeans! Yes, I measured it! Which brings us to Gopher wood. According to the Bible, Noah built the ark out of gopher wood. Does anyone know where we can find some? Why? Because the way 2020 is going I am thinking I need to build an ark!
With all that said there are some funny/serious and good articles entitled “Ten Things I learned from Noah’s Ark”. On this soggy, driving rain Thursday, here is one of those articles for you to ponder:
TEN THINGS YOU CAN LEARN FROM NOAH’S ARK
--Don’t miss the boat!
--Remember that we are all in the same boat.
--Plan ahead. Remember, it was not raining when Noah built the ark.
--Stay fit. When you are 600 years old someone may ask you to do something big!
--Don’t listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
--When the Lord speaks, listen and obey!
--“Speed” isn’t always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
--When you are stressed, “float” a while.
--Family is important, keep them close.
--No matter the storm, when you are with God, there is always a rainbow waiting.
God bless you my family, friends, and flocks – and stay dry!
