Schools out - Now what?

Children are more perceptive than we often give them credit for. The current COVID-19 pandemic can leave children confused and maybe a little scared about what is happening in the world around them. Listed below are some family and children-friendly resources to help us navigate some difficult conversations, as well as a few Christian education resources to keep God at the center of your home and help get out some stir-crazy wiggles!

Amplify Videos

Amplify is the new video streaming service from our United Methodist Publisher, Abingdon Press. They are currently offering FREE access to the Deep Blue Kids Spring 2020 Curriculum videos. These videos focus on Jesus' life and ministry. Themes include observing Lent in community, celebrating resurrection in community, and the first Christian communities.

While you're there, you'll notice that Amplify has also made several adult small-group curriculum videos available for FREE including Lenten studies, and Adam Hamilton's Unafraid: Living with Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times.



Kid-friendly Online Worship

The author of this new book, Holy Moments: Activities for Teaching Children About Worship, Emily Delikat is hosting a live worship experience for kids and families online. You can even participate using your computer’s microphone and camera. Two times are scheduled for Sunday, March 22nd, and a recording of this past Sunday’s service is available for use anytime.
